If you are a service provider of some sort and wish to promote yourself to our community, we have a few rules and expectations that must be met. Particularly in regards to digital creatives, if you’re taking the time to read this, you likely already know discord is suffocating in automated bots, scammers, and plain slimey solicitors of “art commissions”. We wish to protect our community from being inundated by them and so if you have a legitimate talent to offer, please be sure to follow all of the following.
Soliciting/Sharing Work
You may only solicit work or share your productions in the #promotion or #promotion-premium discord channels. Post some image examples of your work, links to a portfolio(s), and any additional contact information for you.
Only Supporters of the project can post promotions in the #promotion-premium channel. This means your posts made here will have far less competition and will be more readily viewed by potential consumers.
Direct Message
Do not send a Direct Message to any members about your services unless invited to by that member.
Begging
Do not beg for paid commissions. Lots of bots and canned, spammy posts note some reason why the artist has fallen on bad times and could really use cash assistance from people buying your art. Not only in this a turnoff to most potential viewers, but it is usually disingenuous. We do not allow it.
Fee For Service
You are allowed to post services you offer for free or payment. Be fair, polite, and honest.
Do Not Misrepresent Yourself
Do not promote for anyone but yourself or lead anyone to believe you are in any way endorsed by AD&D Toolkit unless given express, written permission to do so from the owner of AD&D Toolkit.
Community Promotion
If you wish to promote for another community, or any party other than yourself as an individual, #create-ticket and ask for permission to do so from a discord Admin.
Contacting Admins
Do not “ping” or DM Admins. If you have a great product you wish to share or inquire about cross-promotion or any other issue requiring contact with an Admin, #create-ticket for Admin support.
