Managing Your Media Library
The Media Library is a global account-level library of images you host on Google Drive and submit to AD&D Toolkit. You can view a video tutorial on our Youtube account.
Google Drive
I’ve opted to require members to upload images to a Google Drive account for sharing on the AD&D Toolkit. In this way, we greatly mitigate potential security and resource usage issues. This makes life much easier and cheaper from a development/management perspective.
I highly recommend you create an AD&D Toolkit folder in your Google Drive account and designate it PUBLIC access, so that others can view the images within it. Google Drive is free and very easy to use once you figure it out.
Adding Images to a Campaign
Once image links are submitted to AD&D Toolkit, you can add them to your campaign(s) in bulk. First select the Campaign to which you wish to add the image(s), then check the box for each image. Lastly, click the Submit button.
Sorting
You can sort an unwieldy file list by image ID or Name, to make searching a bit easier. Simply click the red arrow in the table header to toggle between Ascending and Descending order.
Managing Your Campaign Images
This module has a table with several columns in which you can interact for each image.
Active
Checking this box will cause the image to appear at the bottom of each character’s Character Sheet for viewing. Each will be identified by an ID number. You will have a corresponding ID in your module so that you can tell players which Image ID to refer to at any particular time.
Delete
Checking this box will delete the URL from AD&D Toolkit. The image will still be on your Drive account but there will no longer be a reference to it on AD&D Toolkit.
ID
This is a unique identifier for each image so you can refer to a specific image for your players to view.
Hint
This is a text label to help you, the DM, recall what this image is. Players will not see this Hint.
VIEW
Clicking this link will open the image for you just as it would for a player.
